Dental and Vision
Depending on which Medicare Advantage program option you choose through BlueCross BlueShield, you could receive both preventive and comprehensive dental coverage.
So, what does this mean exactly? Here’s a breakdown.
Preventive coverage includes two routine cleanings and oral exams each year. Comprehensive coverage includes other more complicated services that are essential to your oral health—these could include but are not limited to anesthesia, extractions, fillings, and more.
What about vision-related care?
Well, if you’re getting care within our pre-approved VSP network, then you will receive one free routine eye exam per year, as well as one free pair of glasses, or one free pair of contact lenses every two years (again, if you are accessing them through our pre-approved VSP network).
Hearing
As we age, our hearing can deteriorate—which means it’s incredibly important to receive regular care from an experienced medical professional to preserve, or improve, what hearing you have left.
Yearly hearing exams are available to our program members for a significantly reduced rate.
Plus, if you purchase hearing aids, you will receive 48 batteries and have access to follow-up care to ensure your equipment is functioning properly.
Special Benefits
As we mentioned above, there are several unique offerings available solely through BlueCross BlueShield’s Medicare Advantage plan—offerings that you might not find through a traditional Medicare package, or an enhancement program through another insurance provider.
